Share files safely
A file link should reach only the people who need it.
Before sharing, verify the recipient and remove personal information from filenames and documents. Do not publish links in public comments when the file contains customer data, invoices, private photos or work material. A link can be forwarded, so use a new upload when you need to replace a document.

Compress large files
Smaller files upload and download faster.
For documents and many folders, create a ZIP archive. For images, export JPG or WebP at a reasonable quality. Video compression works best when you lower the resolution only as much as your recipient needs. Always open the archive after creating it and confirm that it contains the intended files.

Choose the right format
Use formats your recipient can open without extra software.
PDF is usually the safest choice for a final document. PNG works well for screenshots and transparent graphics, while JPG is practical for photographs. For editable work, include the source file and a PDF preview. Name files clearly, for example invoice-2026-08.pdf, instead of using random names.

Protect your links
A link is convenient, but it is not a password.
Do not upload passwords, identity documents, medical records or other highly sensitive data to a public link. Share the URL through a trusted channel and remove the file when the transfer is complete. If a link was sent to the wrong person, upload a corrected file and delete the old one from your panel.

Privacy before upload
Check what is inside the file, not only its title.
Remove hidden pages, comments and document metadata before sending a file outside your organization. Photos may contain location data. Spreadsheets may contain formulas, hidden sheets or old values. For confidential materials, use a dedicated encrypted solution rather than a public file-sharing link.

Copyright and reporting
Upload only material you own or are authorized to distribute.
Do not use TOPlik to distribute films, series, music, paid software, activation keys, leaks or other protected material without permission. Rights holders can submit a DMCA report. Complete reports may temporarily hide a link while the case is reviewed.
